 Boy, 11, strikes car &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; after fall from bike &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 A city boy was injured Saturday when he was thrown from his bicycle and
struck a car, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Sam McCloe, 11, of Park Avenue, told police he was riding his 20-inch Huffy
bicycle along South Pennsylvania Avenue at about 4:45 p.m. when his rear
brakes failed, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 McCloe's bicycle left the west curb, his front wheel apparently turned and
he was thrown into a 1994 Ford Thunderbird driven by Terry Crook, of Plymouth
Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Crook was driving south on South Pennsylvania Avenue and slowing down for a
red traffic light when McCloe struck the right side of his car near the front
windshield, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Personnel from Medic 3 treated McCloe at the scene and transported him to
Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre, where he was treated and released. McCloe had
complained of head and leg pain, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 Neither Terry Crook nor his passenger, Kathy Crook, were injured. No
citations will be issued, police said. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
