First Posted: 1/21/2015 The Wyoming Valley could get a small helping of snow heading into Thursday night.
The National Weather Service indicated that it was 14 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport. Mostly cloudy skies kicked off the frigid morning.
There will be a chance of flurries between noon and 2 p.m. today, followed by a chance of light snow heading into this evening. Less than a half an inch of snow is expected, and today&#8217;s high will be near 32 degrees.
Light snow will be likely between 8 p.m. and 3 a.m. tonight, with less than an inch of snow possible. Tonight&#8217;s low will be in the lower 20s.
There will be a chance for light snow before 8 a.m. on Thursday, followed by a chance of flurries that will taper off as the day progresses. Cloudy skies will then give way to sunny skies. Less than half an inch of snow is possible, and Thursday&#8217;s high will be in the mid 30s.
Clear skies are predicted for Thursday night, with a low in the upper teens.
Sunny skies will round out the workweek on Friday, with a high in the lower 30s. Cloudy skies will return on Friday night, along with a 30 percent chance of snow. Friday night&#8217;s low will be in the lower 20s.
