First Posted: 8/15/2014 WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A mother declined to press charges against a juvenile after she saw her son stomped on while on the ground during a fight.
Police responded to the area of 235 Poplar St. for a report of a juvenile male laying in the middle of the street, unconscious.
When police arrived, they found that the male was being attended to by his mother. She told police her son was fighting with another male juvenile and she saw him getting &#8220;stomped&#8221; while he was down on the ground, police said.
The juvenile was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley medical center in Plains Township via Wilkes-Barre Medics.
An investigation determined that the other juvenile male resides on Bradford Street. Officers found the other juvenile and spoke to his mother. The mother told police her son told her that the other boy started the fight, and he won.
The mother of the injured juvenile told officers that she did not wish to pursue charges, police said.
