Dallas boys lacrosse falls to Crestwood to end district playoff run

SHIPPENSBURG &#8212; Lake-Lehman junior Dominic Hockenbury repeated as state champion in the Class AAA boys 3200-meter run Saturday morning in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Track and Field Championships at Shippensburg University.Hockenbury posted a winning time of 9:08.10 to run away from the field for an 8.77-second victory.Hockenbury was one of three Back Mountain athletes to earn medals Saturday.Lake-Lehman&#8217;s Emily Johns finished fourth in the Class AAA girls discus.Lindsey Oremus from Dallas broke the five-minute mark for the first time in her career while placing sixth in the Class AAA 1600-meter run.Friday&#8217;s medal winners included Holy Redeemer&#8217;s Caroline Banas, a Dallas resident, who finished second in the Class AA high jump.Katie Kravitsky from Dallas (high jump) and Cayle Spencer from Lake-Lehman (javelin) each finished sixth Friday in Class AAA girls.
