27 Pennsylvania Counties Remain in Drought Watch

Active Adult Centers sponsored by the Area Agency on Aging for Luzerne and Wyoming Counties offer hot noon meals Monday through Friday to people 60 years of age or older. For participants age 60+ a $2.00 meal donation is gratefully accepted. The monies are needed in order to expand this program.The following is the menu for the week of June 1:MONDAY: Herb pot roast, sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, whole wheat bread, cherry banana gelatin, milk and coffee.TUESDAY: Lemon pepper fish, strawberry spinach salad, parsley boiled potatoes, Melba toast, lemon almond rice pudding, milk and coffee.WEDNESDAY: Turkey salad with whole wheat pita, asparagus soup, beet salad, grapes and apricots, milk and coffee.THURSDAY: Roast beef, brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, whole wheat bread, berry cup, milk and coffee.FRIDAY: Bag lunch
