First Posted: 7/17/2014 SCRANTON &#8212; PennDOT said a paving project on Main Avenue in Scranton that was to begin Friday has been postponed due to the high volume of traffic expected for the Solemn Novena in honor of St. Ann.
The novena at St. Ann Basilica Parish on St. Ann Street in the city&#8217;s West Side runs from today to July 26.
Repairs on a 5-mile section of the roadway were to begin Friday and continue to July 28.
A new roadwork schedule will issued as soon as it is available, PennDOT said.
