<b>First Posted:</b> 10/9/2009<br><br>WILKES-BARRE &amp;ndash; Bill Amesbury said being the top vote getter in the May primary made him feel good, but he also noted that 85 percent of the votes in the crowded field went to candidates other than him.

&amp;ldquo;I&amp;rsquo;ve never been a presumptuous guy,&amp;rdquo; Amesbury said. &amp;ldquo;I&amp;rsquo;m still out there working hard to get my message out to the people.&amp;rdquo;
Amesbury, 61, is a magisterial district judge and he is one of three candidates seeking two open seats on the Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas in the Nov. 3 general election. He faces Tina Polachek Gartley and Dick Hughes.
