<div class="metaInfo"><bylineMeta>By John Erzarjerzar@www.timesleader.com</bylineMeta></div>Little League Baseball suspended Pittston City manager Mike Skutack for two games for failing to get every player an at-bat in Thursday&#8217;s District 16 Major Baseball game with Avoca/Dupont.District 16/31 administrator Bob Bertoni was informed of the situation shortly after Avoca/Dupont protested the game, which was won by Pittston City 7-6. He contacted the Little League Eastern Regional office in Bristol, Connecticut.The Bristol officials then contacted Little League headquarters in Williamsport where the tournament committee determined a two-game suspension was appropriate and Pittston City would remain the winner.Little League tournament rules state all players must receive at least one at-bat. Plate appearances such as walks and hit by pitches also fulfill the requirement.&#8220;This is very upsetting to me,&#8221; Bertoni said. &#8220;We go over it and over it and over it. It&#8217;s a simple, simple rule. It&#8217;s a black mark for Pittston and a black mark for the district.&#8221;Pittston City league president Jeff Ross said the player who didn&#8217;t receive an at-bat had played two innings in the field. He was scheduled to bat in the bottom of the sixth, but the game ended in the top of the inning when Avoca/Dupont failed to tie or take the lead.&#8220;The way it was explained to me was the player played the two innings, he was in the rotation at the bottom of the order,&#8221; Ross said. &#8220;He was suppose to bat. I believe he was the next guy up to bat in the bottom of the sixth inning. But what happen was they didn&#8217;t need to play the bottom of the sixth because the game was won.&#8221;Ross added he felt bad for Skutack, who is in his last season as a manager.<div class="metaInfo"><shirttailMeta>Reach John Erzar at 570-991-6394 or on Twitter @TLJohnErzar</shirttailMeta></div>
