Red Hats tour Timber Ridge

<p>During Children&#8217;s Day at the Wilkes-Barre Farmers Market, the Luzerne County Reading Council read to groups of children from local daycare centers. Members read the book &#8216;The Paperbag Princess.&#8217; The children used their creativity to construct a colorful dragon and snacks were provided to the participants. The Luzerne County Reading Council promotes literacy throughout Luzerne County. The next meeting will be 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 13, at Grotto Pizza, Wilkes-Barre. Teachers, retired teachers, librarians and anyone interested in furthering literacy are welcome to join the group at the meeting or call 570-472-3111 for more information.
