Celebrating the National Park Service’s birthday

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Dress for Success Luzerne County will hold &#8220;A Celebration of our Hidden Gems,&#8221; event from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, with proceeds providing financial support to the organization which provides career appropriate attire and job training and educational opportunities to disadvantaged women in Luzerne County.</p><p>This fourth annual event is being held at Wise Crackers Comedy Club at Mohegan Sun Pocono.</p><p>Attendees will have the opportunity to select a glass of champagne that may contain a 1 carat diamond being provided by Tovon &amp; Company Diamonds. Participants will also be welcome to dig for other jewelry and prizes donated by local merchants. Along with high-end jewelry, prizes will range from gift baskets to gift cards to tools. The $25 entrance fee will include a chance to win the diamond and complimentary light hors d&#8217;oeuvres.
