<p>Holy Redeemer High School will honor the late Abe Simon, vice principal of academic affairs, during a memorial Mass and blessing and dedication at 7 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 14, in the school&#8217;s McCarthy Auditorium. Simon passed away unexpectedly last September. His memory was honored as an educator and U.S. Army veteran with several projects around the school with replacing flags, installing lighting outside to illuminate the outside flag at night, and a memorial marker placed by the flag pole that will be blessed and dedicated immediately following the ceremony. Donations to the Abe Simon Memorial project are still being accepted for scholarships and tuition assistance to students attending Holy Redeemer. In addition, Simon was a teacher and principal at Gate of Heaven School in Dallas.
