Gold star flag presented to mom for son’s sacrafice

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Family Service Association of Northeastern Pennsylvania will celebrate 120 years of service to children, individuals and families in Northeastern Pennsylvania at the organization&#8217;s annual meeting at noon on Sept. 21 at the Holiday Inn East Mountain.</p><p>This year, Family Service Association will honor Joan Zelnick, assistant manager at Service Electric Cable TV &amp; Communications, and chairperson of the Family Service Association Board of Directors. She will receive the FSA Community Leader of the Year Award for her leadership and dedication to children and families in the community.</p><p>The community is invited to attend, with a $35 donation covering the costs of the luncheon.
