Local teams aim for district playoff births

First Posted: 11/13/2014 The Falls Active Center will host a Lunch & Learn discussion at 12:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17 entitled &#8220;Diabetes, How You Can Take Control,&#8221; presented by Twila Watkins, RN.BSN.
From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, Alice Russamano, a trained Medicare counselor in the Apprise Program through the Area Agency on Aging, will be here to meet individually with anyone who needs help deciding which Medicare Plan best suits their needs. Apprise is the state Department of Aging&#8217;s free health insurance counseling program designed to help older Pennsylvanians with Medicare. Please call the center to set up an appointment during the above hours. Alice will speak briefly during our Thanksgiving Lunch about Open Enrollment for Medicare.
Following lunch at 12:45 p.m., The Jolly Seniors will lead us in a Thanksgiving sing along.
From 11:30 a.m. until noon Wednesday, Nov. 26, Leslie Yuhas, LPN from Wyoming Manor will be here to check blood pressures.
The center is closed Thursday, Nov. 26 and Friday, Nov. 27.
Anyone ages 60 and over wishing to join us for a hot meal at noon for a suggested donation of $2, or for those under 60, $4.62, should RSVP to Twila at 570-388-2623 by 12:30 p.m. the day before.
The center is open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and it is located on State Route 92.
