ASHLEY &#8212; Police on Wednesday charged Scott Colacci, 29, of Timpson Street, with endangering a 3-year-old boy found wandering in the area of Ashley and Timpson streets on Sept. 18.According to a news release, police said the boy was unable to provide his address due to his age.Police took the boy into protective custody and canvassed the neighborhood in an attempt to find the child&#8217;s parents or legal guardians.After 90 minutes of searching, police encountered Colacci who identified himself as the boy&#8217;s uncle.Colacci told police he was watching the boy while the child&#8217;s mother left the residence to pick up the child&#8217;s father, the news release says.Police said Colacci claimed he believed the boy was watching television in a bedroom and did not know how the child left the residence.Colacci was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and recklessly endangering another person. Charges were filed with District Judge Joseph Halesey in Hanover Township.A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 17.
