DALLAS &#8212; The public is invcited to attend a Family Fun Food Drive Festival 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 8 at Gate of Heaven Church in Dallas, and to help the Gate of Heaven confirmation class collect 5,000 cans and other non-perishable food for the Back Mountain Food Pantry.The event has been organized by Sandra Serhan, first baby baptized in Gate of Heaven, who is celebrating her birthday. &#8220;My birthday wish is that nobody is hungry in the Back Mountain for the holidays,&#8221; she said in a press release.Describing the Family Fun Festival as &#8220;a huge birthday party,&#8221; Serhan said there will be a band, an enormous cake crafted from tiers of cup cakes that children can assemble and a photo show displaying pictures of parish and school events from the 1950s on.Admission is free if you bring a food item to donate.
