<p>HAZLETON &#8212; Police have announced that former Hazleton real estate agent Ignacio Beato has been arrested in Florida.</p><p>Beato, 45, was arrested at the Orlando International Airport in Orlando, Florida, when police say he attempted to re-enter the United States from the Dominican Republic.</p><p>Beato is charged by the Luzerne County District Attorney and Pennsylvania State Police with felony charges of forgery, theft and theft by deception for alleged fraudulent real estate sales.</p><p>Police allege that Beato accepted cash and checks from numerous victims while using his position as a real estate agent to gain access to vacant homes. The victims would then move into the vacant homes only to learn of the alleged scam when served eviction notices filed by the lawful property owners.</p><p>Beato has been jailed, and is awaiting extradition from Florida to face charges.</p><style>
