Luzerne County DUI Program to conduct enforcement events during the holiday week

<p>Scranton band The Menzingers have collaborated with Croydon, Pennsylvania&#8217;s <a href="http://neshaminycreekbrewing.com/" target="_blank">Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company </a>to launch their own signature craft beer, available next month.</p><p>The beer was made in October when the band stopped by Neshaminy Creek to visit head brewer Jeremy Myers.</p><p>&#8220;One of the first times we really got close to Jeremy, us and his old band were in New Brunswick playing a house show,&#8221; Menzingers guitarist/vocalist Greg Barnett said in a video announcement for the beer. &#8220;Somewhere along the line I started talking to Jeremy about home brewing and found out he was really passionate about it. We kind of put it on the back burner, then all of a sudden here we are in this brewery. It&#8217;s crazy.&#8221;</p><p>&#8220;I feel like the conversation&#8217;s been going on for &#8212; I wouldn&#8217;t say since before the brewery started, but it feels like it&#8217;s been that long,&#8221; Myers added.</p><p>According to Myers, the band&#8217;s suggestions inspired a light and drinkable non-IPA with a hoppy flavor.</p><p>&#8220;This is the first of two beers,&#8221; Myers said. &#8220;The idea was to do something small first and have some fun; we&#8217;ll only have it on draft available here. Then, from there, the idea is to do a package beer&#8230; I don&#8217;t know what we&#8217;ll do after this. Maybe it&#8217;ll be a stout. Whatever they&#8217;re up for.&#8221;</p><p>Menzinger Hoppy Imperial American will be available on draft at Neshaminy Creek&#8217;s taproom starting Dec. 12. The band will celebrate the launch with an acoustic set at the brewery.</p><style>
