Areas of heavy traffic congestion could slow down the morning commute

<p>The sun is expected to shine, and the temperatures should climb, as the Wyoming Valley enters the weekend.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 45 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fog and mist reported.</p><p>Partly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 54. Mostly cloudy skies are expected tonight, with a low around 41.</p><p>Partly sunny skies will wrap up the week on Friday, with a high near 56. Mostly cloudy skies are expected into Friday night, with a low around 45.</p><p>Partly sunny skies are predicted for Saturday, with a high near 59. Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Saturday night, with a low around 50.</p><p>Mostly cloudy skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 61. Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into Sunday night, along with a 30 percent chance of showers.
