<p>Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Steve Forbert is going on tour following the November, 2015 release of his newest album, Compromised. The record is the 16th studio effort by Forbert, and to support it, he&#8217;ll perform in cities throughout the United States and Canada, stopping in Jim Thorpe along the way.</p><p>Forbert is scheduled to play to the Mauch Chunk Opera House at 8 p.m. on Jan. 15. Doors open at 7 p.m., and tickets are available for $23 on the opera house website at <a href="http://mcohjt.com">http://mcohjt.com</a>. Three shows along the tour will see Forbert joined by famed guitar master Leo Kottke, and the tour schedule can be seen at <a href="http://www.steveforbert.com">www.steveforbert.com</a>.</p><p>The songwriter has reached several levels of notoriety throughout a decades long career. In 1980, his song &#8220;Romeo&#8217;s Tune&#8221; reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot 100, and his 2002 tribute album to Jimmie Rodgers, Any Old Time, was nominated for a Grammy in the category of best traditional folk album. Forbert has been inducted into the Mississippi Music Hall of Fame, and his songs have been covered by Keith Urban, Marty Stuart and Rosanne Cash.</p><style>
