IN BRIEF: EMPIRE SHOW-LAWSUIT — A Philadelphia man is suing in federal court saying the hit show "Empire" infringes on a show he created and copyrighted a decade ago. The Philadelphia Daily News reports Clayton Tanksley, who once played a character on "The Cosby Show," says Lee Daniels stole the idea from him during a 2008 film event. EASTON ADMINISTRATOR RESIGNS — Easton's administrator has quit after seven years on the job. The City Council unanimously accepted Glenn Steckman's resignation on Wednesday without comment. WRONG-WAY CHASE — Police say a Pennsylvania man led police on a high speed chase near the New Jersey shore, driving more than 10 miles on the wrong side of the Garden State Parkway. Police say troopers saw William Errico of Penndel, Pennsylvania, driving a pickup northbound in the southbound lanes early Wednesday. FUGITIVE ARRESTED — Authorities say a Pennsylvania fugitive was arrested after driving erratically in the Holland Tunnel. Port Authority police say Mitchell Neil Thompson, of Reading, Pennsylvania, was wanted on an active warrant for burglary and terroristic threats in Pennsylvania. SANTORUM-SOUTH CAROLINA — Rick Santorum is sitting down with South Carolina's top prosecutor for a conversation on law and the constitution. The former Pennsylvania senator is participating in a forum on Thursday sponsored by the Conservative Leadership Project. The chat with state Attorney General Alan Wilson is being held at The Citadel in Charleston, where two of Santorum's sons are enrolled. POLICE CAR HIT — Two police officers are in stable condition after their unmarked car was struck in the Kensington section of Philadelphia. Police say a driver ran a red light at the intersection of B and East Westmoreland streets around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday. DAUPHIN COUNTY-RAPE CONVICTION — A man who has been imprisoned for aggravated indecent assault and robbery now faces up to a life-sentence for raping a 16-year-old girl in central Pennsylvania. Pennlive.com reports 53-year-old David Brooks is expected to be sentenced in March. Authorities say his rape conviction is his second strike as a sex offender and his third strike for committing a violent crime. GIRLFRIEND BURIED IN YARD — A lawyer wants two separate trials for a western Pennsylvania man accused of killing his girlfriend, keeping her in a refrigerator and then burying her. George Biegenwald was charged in August with homicide and abuse of a corpse in the death of 50-year-old Donna See. Biegenwald also faces an assault charge involving another woman. SPORTS: OBIT-LUIS ARROYO NEW YORK — Luis Arroyo, a two-time All-Star pitcher who helped the New York Yankees win the 1961 World Series, died Wednesday. He was 88. The Yankees said Arroyo's daughter, Milagros, told the team he died in Puerto Rico. She said he had been diagnosed last month with cancer. Moved 192 words.
