<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A city man facing aggravated assault charges after an alleged fight that happened at 7:55 p.m. on Tuesday at a residence on Gore Street.</p><p>Police said that Richard Flynn, 49, of Wilkes-Barre, went to a residence on Gore Street to allegedly fight a 69-year-old man. The man&#8217;s wife, a 67-year-old woman, attempted to stop the fight and was allegedly kicked in the chest by Flynn. To defend his wife, police said the man punched Flynn and held him down until police arrived.</p><p>An officer arrived and tried to arrest Flynn, but Flynn allegedly punched the officer in the right side of the rib cage. The officer then struck Flynn with a closed fist on the top of the head, which subdued him.</p><p>Flynn was then transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley for medical treatment, and was later transported to police headquarters for processing.</p><p>The officer sustained minor injuries to his ribs and right hand.</p><style>
