Man charged with aggravated assault after allegedly striking woman, police officer

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212;Two children were injured when they fell from a porch after a banister gave way at a residence on East Jackson Street on Thursday.</p><p>Emergency crews were dispatched to the residence shortly after a 4 p.m. An official at the fire department said the two children suffered injuries, but he did not have information on the severity or their condition.</p><p>The children were transported to a local hospital for treatment.</p><style>
