PennDOT lowers speed limit on interstate highways

<p>St. Nicholas Church on South Washington St. in Wilkes-Barre will hold its 51st annual &#8220;German Nite&#8221; beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30. This is one of the largest pre-Lenten German-American celebrations in northeastern Pennsylvania. A German style buffet meal will be served from 6:15-7:15 p.m. and from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. music will be furnished by the very popular &#8220;Walt Groller Orchestra.&#8221; Tickets are $30 per person and may be obtained from any active Holy Name member, event committee member or by calling the rectory at 570-823-7736. No tickets will be sold at the door. Tables can be reserved for groups of eight or more with ticket payment. Respond early, tickets are limited. Open to the public.
