New claimants face uphill battle in bankruptcy settlement for Robert Powell’s Avoca lawsuit

<p>SCRANTON &#8212; Police are investigating a robbery at NBT Bank on Thursday.</p><p>Police said a man wearing a mask over his face entered the bank at 117 Meadow Ave. at about 940 a.m. and demanded money. He fled in a small, silver-colored two-door coupe.</p><p>Police say the suspect might have robbed other banks in the area, noting that the thief wore what appears to be the same baseball cap in other robberies.</p><p>Anyone with information should call Scranton police at 570-348-4141 or state police at 570-963-3156.</p><p>NBT Bancorp, the parent company of NBT Bank, is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for original information leading to the apprehension, arrest and conviction of any individual or individuals responsible for committing this robbery.</p><p>To provide information, call 607-226-0509. All information will be kept confidential, according to a news release from NBT.</p><style>
