Local, state average gas prices rise overnight

<p>Sunny skies and warm temperatures aren&#8217;t expected to go anywhere as the Wyoming Valley approaches the midweek.</p><p>Some rain, however, is possible near the end of the week.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 42 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with mostly cloudy skies reported.</p><p>Partly sunny skies are expected today, with a high near 66. Partly cloudy skies will follow into tonight, with a low around 49.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies are predicted for Wednesday, with the high climbing to 68. Mostly cloudy skies are expected to carry over into Wednesday night, with a low around 52.</p><p>Partly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, along with a 20 percent chance of showers. The high will be near 68.</p><p>Mostly cloudy skies are expected into Thursday night, along with a 30 percent chance of showers.
