<p>HAZLETON &#8212; A man is facing a slew of charges after an incident that happened early Tuesday.</p><p>Police also said that a responding officer sustained an ankle injury during the apprehension of the suspect.</p><p>Police said that officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a black Acura RDX driven by Roberto Herrera, 19, at 1:52 a.m. after it was observed allegedly illegally passing another vehicle and going through a stop sign on Diamond Avenue at the intersection of Grant Street.</p><p>The vehicle was eventually stopped at the intersection of Locust and Oak streets, and Herrera was taken into custody. Police also said that an officer sustained an injury during the incident, but it was not made clear how the officer sustained the injury.</p><p>The officer was transported to a local hospital for treatment.</p><p>Herrera is charged with fleeing and eluding police, driving under the influence, resisting arrest, driving with a suspended license, limitations on overtaking on the left, careless driving, underage drinking and numerous stop sign violations.</p><p>He was transported to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for overnight arraignment.</p><style>
