STATE COLLEGE, Pa. (AP) — Authorities say the death of a Penn State student who was found unresponsive in his room over the weekend may have been substance-related. Ferguson Township police were called Saturday to a West College Avenue residence where they found 23-year-old Nicholas Snyder. Police say there were no signs of foul play. The Centre County coroner's office conducted an autopsy Sunday but the cause of death was deferred pending toxicology test results. Coroner Scott Sayers said the results will be available in about four to six weeks. Snyder was a full-time student from Chambersburg majoring in hospitality management. University spokesman Reidar Jensen says Penn State Student Affairs has reached out to Snyder's family to offer any assistance needed.
