Local, state average gas prices continue to climb

Few areas of traffic congestion reported this morning

<p>The Wyoming Valley is expected to catch a small break from precipitation, and temperatures are expected to climb as the week progresses.</p><p>Rain and snow, however, will be possible near the latter part of the week.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 21 degrees as of 5:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with fair skies reported.</p><p>Sunny skies are expected today, but the high will only climb to 36. Mostly clear skies will follow tonight, with the low dropping to around 19.</p><p>Clouds will increase on Wednesday, and winds could gust as high as 28 miles per hour. The high will be near 48.</p><p>Mostly cloudy skies are expected into Wednesday night, with a chance of rain before 11 p.m. and showers becoming likely into the overnight hours. The low will be around 41.</p><p>Showers are predicted for Thursday, but no precipitation amounts have been predicted. The high will be near 54.</p><p>Cloudy skies will carry over into Thursday night, along with a chance of rain before 2 a.m. and snow showers into the early-morning hours of Friday.
