Police: Purse reported stolen, credit card used

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; What started as an investigation of a vehicle code violation resulted in two men facing charges.</p><p>At 11:27 p.m. on Monday, officers on patrol in the area of the Sherman Hills apartment complex observed a vehicle with a code violation. Police said that inside the vehicle were Brandon Barnwell, 19, of Long Pond and Jermane Heard, 20, of Tobyhanna.</p><p>Police said that as they investigated the vehicle, they allegedly found that Heard was in possession of approximately 50 bags of suspected heroin.</p><p>Heard was charged with possession of a controlled substance, and Barnwell was charged with defiant trespass.</p><style>
