Protesters march in Greece over new rounds of planned austerity cuts. Hmmm, not to make fun of the situation, but what really would happen if Greece, or for that matter, any country, went bankrupt and couldn&#8217;t get an extension on its loan (that realistically will never be paid off) from the world&#8217;s banks?Would they have a &#8220;going out of country sale&#8221;? Would the Parthenon and all the rest of Greece&#8217;s antiquities go up for sale on eBay?Would there be great big &#8220;sheriff&#8217;s sale&#8221; signs at the borders of Greece?Oooh, maybe Vladimir Putin will seize the rock-bottom selling price and secure for Mother Russia the warm water port it always has lusted after, and then (redacted under order of his presidential supreme excellence).But, seriously, why does it seem the world&#8217;s governments and banks get to play their own brand of Monopoly with &#8220;fake&#8221; loans and &#8220;play&#8221; money, while we little guys and gals are forced to adhere to draconian economic rules written to stifle and devalue human life?Writing this reminds me that it&#8217;s Monopoly time at McDonald&#8217;s!So, I&#8217;m off to grab me a Big Mac and fries, and hope I can finally get that Park Place token I&#8217;ve been looking for all these years.Jim BradyPlains Township
