Ben Gamel&#8217;s bat stayed hot, Chris Parmelee homered but it wasn&#8217;t enough to save the skidding Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders from their fourth straight defeat when a seven-run eighth inning lifted Syracuse to a 9-4 victory.The game was tied at 2-2 when Brian Goodwin ripped a two-out, two-run, bases-loaded double off RailRiders reliever Tyler Olson as Syracuse forged ahead. Trea Turner followed with a three-run homer and Kevin Keyes added a two-run double to give Syracuse a 9-4 lead later in the inning.That rally came after Gamel, who went 3-for-4 to raise his season batting average to .300, scored on a single by Gary Sanchez as the RailRiders tied the game 2-2 in the top of the eighth.Parmelee hit his first home run for the RailRides in ninth inning to close the scoring.Sanchez doubled and eventually scored the game&#8217;s first run in the fourth inning, coming home when Nick Swisher reached on a strikeout/passed ball. Swisher&#8217;s error in the bottom of the inning led to two Chiefs runs.
