<p>KINGSTON &#8212; A man allegedly involved in a shooting <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/local/515530/police-man-involved-in-shooting-wearing-ankle-monitor" target="_blank">while wearing a state Department of Corrections ankle monitor in February</a> is heading to county court.</p><p>Joshua Shane Miller, 28, of Birch Lane, Wilkes-Barre, appeared before Magisterial District Judge Paul Roberts for a preliminary hearing Monday. Miller waived to the higher court a single felony charge of possessing a prohibited firearm.</p><p>Felony charges of escape, receiving stolen property and firearms not to be carried without a license, along with misdemeanor charges of recklessly endangering another person and resisting arrest were withdrawn.</p><p>According to a police report, police were dispatched at 2:08 a.m. Feb. 20 to the area of 782 Wyoming Ave., Kingston for a report of gunshots and people fleeing the area. Officers were also advised some of the parties involved were in a black limousine fleeing the scene. A traffic stop was initiated on Market Street, and Miller ran into the parking lot of United Penn Plaza.</p><p>Also in the vehicle were Benjamin McNell, Yolanda Samuel, Nicollette Hadvance and Dennis Caban.</p><p>At 761 Wyoming Ave., officers found a bullet hole in the front door, a bullet lodged into the left front window and two spent shell casings on the ground.</p><p>At police headquarters, a stun gun was used on Hadvance before her transportation to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility. She allegedly became irate, began to pull away and kick at officers and screamed she was &#8220;not going to (expletive) jail.&#8221;</p><p>Also at headquarters, Caban stated he heard an argument in the back of the limousine and a gunshot while the limousine was moving. Caban said he pulled over to the right side of Wyoming Avenue and hid behind a dumpster while observing Miller pointing a black handgun out of the window and firing a shot into an unidentified female, who fled the scene.</p><p>Miller is next scheduled for a formal arraignment at 10 a.m. July 7 at the Luzerne County Courthouse. He remains jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $100,000 bail.</p><style>
