Letter to the Editor: Nuangola man’s efforts make the borough cleaner and the planet better

<p>The Downtown Wilkes-Barre Business Association recently held its annual Easter egg hunt on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre.</p><p>As has become tradition, about 600 children had the opportunity to &#8220;hunt&#8221; for 5,000 eggs, some with certificates for valuable prizes that included bicycles. All children in attendance also received a complimentary bag of candy and had a chance for photos with the Easter Bunny.</p><p>Following the event on the Square, all participants were invited to follow the &#8220;Bunny Trail&#8221; that consisted of businesses and organizations offering Easter-themed activities for the children.</p><p>This event has grown over time to become one of the premier Easter egg hunts in the area. This would not have been possible without the participation of our dedicated volunteers and this year&#8217;s supporters that include: the city of Wilkes-Barre, the Wilkes-Barre Fire Department, Anthracite &#8211; Not Just a Newsstand, Barnes &amp; Noble Wilkes-King&#8217;s Bookstore, Blue Wireless, F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts, First National Community Bank, Humford Equities, Insalaco Development Corp., King&#8217;s College Student Alumni Association, Kiwanis Club of Wilkes-Barre, Kiwanis Club of Wilkes-Barre Aktion Club, Osterhout Free Library, Restored Church, Rodano&#8217;s, Rotary Club of Plymouth, Service First Credit Union, Subway of Wilkes-Barre and T.G.I.
