<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A man who tried to run down city police officers after they attempted to arrest him for selling crack cocaine pleaded guilty Friday to aggravated assault and drug charges.</p><p>Bong Bob Kim, who was shot in the back following the attempted controlled buy on Nov. 19, entered the plea before Luzerne County Judge Michael T. Vough. Ten assault and drug charges were withdrawn in exchange for the plea, court records show.</p><p>Police say Kim was shot after he attempted to run down officers in his vehicle following the attempted sting operation, which happened across the Wilkes-Barre boundary in the Carey Avenue Plaza parking lot in Hanover Township.</p><p>After police identified themselves, Kim reversed the vehicle and maneuvered a U-turn in the parking lot until he was blocked by another police vehicle. He was fired upon three times when he accelerated toward the officers, police said.</p><p>Kim, in a jailhouse interview in December 2014, maintained he was used for &#8220;target practice.&#8221;</p><p>District Attorney Stefanie Salavantis on Dec. 9 ruled the shooting was justified.</p><p>Kim&#8217;s sentencing is scheduled for July 7.</p><style>
