Scattered areas of traffic congestion reported this morning

<p>The Wyoming Valley could get some rain as the weekend approaches, but the chances of rain falling are slim.</p><p>The National Weather Service indicated that it was 47 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, with overcast skies reported.</p><p>Mostly cloudy skies are expected today, along with a slight chance of showers after 9 a.m. Today&#8217;s high will be near 66.</p><p>Mostly cloudy skies will carry over into tonight, with a low around 46.</p><p>Partly sunny skies are predicted for Thursday, along with a 30 percent chance of showers after 4 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the high will be near 67.</p><p>Mostly clear skies are expected into Thursday night, along with a 30 percent chance of showers before 8 p.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and the low will be around 44.</p><p>Sunny skies will round out the week on Friday, with a high near 71.
