Shea Petty’s home run powers Berwick to District 2 Class 3A softball playoff victory

<p>Nick Pampalone socred four goals and added an assist as Delaware Valley dominated Dallas, 13-1 in a District 2 boys boys lacrosse playoff game at Delaware Valley High School.</p><p>P.J. Matarazzo scroed three goals and dished off three assists in the victory and Tim Cohen and Anton Mackey each scored twice for the Warriors. Neil Roche made nine saves in holding the Mountaineers to a single goal.</p><p>Corey Metz scored it for Dallas. Corey McAndrew made 16 saves in defeat for the Mountaineers.</p><p><strong>Colleges</strong></p><p><strong>Fisher named All-American</strong></p><p>King&#8217;s College baseball standout Andrew Fisher was named a second team selection to the D3baseball.com All-Mid-Atlantic Team that was released Monday.</p><p>Fisher, the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom Pitcher of the Year, finished the season with a 6-3 record and a save. He had a 2.71 ERA in 69 2/3 innings pitched with 19 walks and 47 strikeouts. He led the conference and was ranked 16th in the nation with six complete games this season.</p><p>The Cherry Hill, N.J. native had three consecutive victories against Eastern, Delaware Valley, and FDU-Florham the last three weekends of the regular season to help lead the Monarchs to their first postseason appearance since 2011.</p><p>College Misericoria outfielder D.J. Novaczynski, from Scranton, and Wilkes first baseman Joe Champi, from Dupont, were both named to the D3baseball.com third team.</p><style>
