<p>SCRANTON &#8212; Before selecting the final list of delegates to the Democratic National Convention, state Democrats heard a common theme &#8212; unity is the key to Hillary Clinton defeating Donald Trump in November.</p><p>The Pennsylvania Democratic Committee met at the Radisson Lackawanna Station Hotel in Scranton on Saturday, finalizing the list of state delegates to the party&#8217;s convention, set for July 25 through 28 in Philadelphia.</p><p>Marlon Marshall, director of states and political engagement for the Clinton campaign, spoke to the group and his message was direct and to the point.</p><p>&#8220;We must come together as a party because Donald Trump cannot get in the White House,&#8221; Marshall said. &#8220;I&#8217;m here to tell you all what we need to do to take out Donald Trump.&#8221;</p><p>Marshall, who will be Clinton&#8217;s key staffer in all battleground states, shared the podium with three candidates for state offices: Josh Shapiro, running for attorney general; Joe Torsella, running for treasurer; and Eugene DePasquale, incumbent auditor general running for re-election.</p><p>&#8220;It says something about our party when the first African American president endorses the first woman nominee,&#8221; Marshall said. &#8220;This election is not about building up walls &#8212; it&#8217;s about building bridges, and that&#8217;s what Hillary Clinton will do.&#8221;</p><p>Marshall said Pennsylvania looms as a key state in the November general election, and, he said, Northeastern Pennsylvania will play heavy in deciding which way the state will go.</p><p>&#8216;This area is extremely important to winning Pennsylvania,&#8221; Marshall said. &#8220;I&#8217;m sure you will see many visits by Secretary Clinton and others over the next few months.&#8221;</p><p>Marshall said Clinton will be in Pittsburgh on Tuesday &#8212; one of her first stops since becoming the presumptive Democratic nominee &#8212; indicating the significance of Pennsylvania in the election.</p><p>&#8220;We will be in Pennsylvania a lot,&#8221; Marshall said. &#8220;Secretary Clinton knows how important jobs and improving the economy are to this region and to Pennsylvania.&#8221;</p><p>Before the state meeting got underway, a tribute honored former Scranton Mayor James Barrett McNulty, who died March 2. Bagpiper Jim Sweeney played &#8220;Amazing Grace&#8221; as the crowd stood to remember McNulty.</p><p>At the state committee meeting, the Pennsylvania Democratic Party selected the remaining members of its delegation to the Democratic National Convention, including its members that will sit on the Rules, Platform and Credentials committees.</p><p>The Pennsylvania Democratic Party previously announced the delegate awards to both Secretary Clinton and Sen. Bernie Sanders.</p><p>The following results were announced Saturday:</p><p>&#8226; District level delegates: 71 for Clinton; 56 for Sanders.</p><p>&#8226; District level alternates: 12 for Clinton; 0 for Sanders.</p><p>&#8226; Party leader/elected official: Clinton, 11; Sanders, 9.</p><p>&#8226; At-large: Clinton, 24; Sanders, 18.</p><p>&#8226; At-large alternates: Clinton, 2; Sanders, 2.</p><p>&#8226; Rules Committee: Clinton, 4; Sanders, 3.</p><p>&#8226; Platform Committee: Clinton, 4; Sanders, 3.</p><p>&#8226; Credentials Committee: Clinton, 4; Sanders, 3.</p><p>&#8226; Delegates: Clinton, 106; Sanders, 83.</p><p>&#8226; Alternates: Clinton, 14; Sanders, 2.</p><p>&#8226; Committee members: Clinton, 12; Sanders, 9.</p><p>Delegates elected in the May Primary from the 11th and 17 Congressional Districts are:</p><p>&#8226; 11th District &#8212; Rogette Harris, Michelle Sellitto, Alexander Rebar (Clinton); Cheryl Marshall, Eric Graf, Dwayne Heisler (Sanders).</p><p>&#8226; 17th District &#8212; William Courtright, Grace McGregor Kramer, Edward O&#8217;Brien, Jennifer Newland, Courtney Washo (Clinton); Guy Anthony, John Ferguson, Susan Hall (Sanders).</p><p>Pennsylvania is allotted 210 delegates &#8212; 127 were elected in the primary.</p><style>
