Geisinger Health System names new chief medical officer

Misericordia professor publishes article in UC Berkley Journal of Entertainment & Sports Law

<p>Doreen Kolojejchick has been named chief nursing officer and Mark McHugh was named assistant chief executive officer at Commonwealth Health Berwick Hospital Center.</p><p>Kolojejchick, of Larksville, holds a master&#8217;s degree in nursing from Barry University, Miami Shores, Florida, and served as chief nursing officer of Special Care Hospital, Nanticoke, for 23 years and assistant chief nursing officer of Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, for 10 years. She most recently was assistant nursing officer at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.</p><p>McHugh recently served as administrative specialist at Regional Hospital of Scranton. A graduate of Bloomsburg University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, he holds a master&#8217;s degree in health services administration from Marywood University. He is attending the Jay S. Sidhu School of Business and Leadership at Wilkes University where he is pursuing a master of business administration degree.</p><p>McHugh completed an administrative residency at Moses Taylor Hospital and has worked in hospital management at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital and First Hospital. He is a committee member of the Eastern Pennsylvania Healthcare Executive Network.</p><style>
