Wyoming Valley Art League hosts free July 15 Third Friday exhibit, concert

<p>Hectic Management and Promotions holds the inaugural Benefactory Festival from noon to 1 a.m. Aug. 27 at the Irish Wolf Pub, 503 Linden St., Scranton.</p><p>The event honors late WFTE radio personality and local music supporter Julie Judge and benefits youth music efforts in Northeastern Pennsylvania.</p><p>The 13-hour festival features performances by Brad Parks, The Gary Goblins, Jeremy Burke, Zayre Mountain, Adam Bailey, Mike Lambert, Pity Party, Quoth and Trogang with one act yet to be announced. DJ Quoth finishes the evening with a 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. &#8217;80s new wave and &#8217;90s dance party.</p><p>According to a press release from Hectic Management and Promotions, Julie Judge was the inspiration for the festival.</p><p>&#8220;She was an amazing friend with an infectious smile that would light up any room she entered,&#8221; the released stated. &#8220;Julie left this world in 2013 after a brief and devastating illness, leaving behind a family and community who miss her dearly.&#8221;</p><p>In Judge&#8217;s honor, the festival includes basket raffles and 50/50 drawings and accepts monetary and basket donations. All proceeds will be donated to assist in keeping youth music programs running in Northeastern Pennsylvania in light of recent closings of school art and music programs due to budget constraints.</p><p>Tickets for the festival cost $10 in advance and $12 the day of the the show and are available at www.ticketor.com/hmap.
