Cole Kaiser and Nick Spencer finished with three hits apiece as Back Mountain National beat Back Mountain American 18-3 in four innings on Wednesday in a District 31 Little League 10-11 baseball semifinal.Kaiser finished with a double, a triple, two RBI and three runs while Spencer had two RBI and three runs while picking up the win on the mound. Koehl Comiskey homered for National while Bryan Osipower, Gavin Adamski, Gary Weaver and Evan Kaiser all had two hits.Liam Hite (double, two RBI) had two hits to lead American. Jacob Koons, Cody Delayo and Jason Puza each had one.JUNIOR GIRLS SOFTBALLPennsylvania State TournamentNorthwest 6, Morrisville 4Aleigha Parnell struck out eight batters and Brenna Babcock and Savannah Purdy both ripped doubles to lead Northwest to victory in a state opener at Ber-Vaughn Park in Berwick.Nikkie Cragle, Trista Babcock and Hunter Kline all singled in the Northwest victory.Northwest advances in the tournament&#8217;s winner&#8217;s bracket and will play at 4 p.m. today at Ber-Vaughn Park.Devyn Snage, Lauren Cagarde, Nicole Middleton and Ryon Alexander all had hits for Morrisville.JUNIOR LEGIONTournament setAustin Yeager hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh to give Hazleton an 8-7 win over Mountain Post, earning Stripes and Strikes the top seed in the Wyoming Valley tournament.Alex Kubishin and Aaron Mason each went 2 for 4 in the win. Mountain Post&#8217;s Stewart Caladie finished 3 for 3 with three runs.The tournament opens with two games on Thursday at Roosevelt Field in Swoyersville. Braccini started the rally with a home run. A sacrifice fly by Chase Yochem gave GWA the lead. Seth Kopcza was the winning pitcher with three strong innings in relief.Richie Kolesar had a strong outing for KFF, surrendering just one run. Carmen Lombardo had two hits for KFF.GWA will play at unbeaten Back Mountain on Thursday.MAJOR STATE SOFTBALLWinners bracket final setWilliamsport defeated Exton 2-1 and Lionville defeated Clearfield 7-3 at Plains Little League to advance to the winners bracket final on Friday.In elimination games, Tripp Park topped Fairchance 15-2 and Union City eliminated Stroudsburg 5-4.Thursday&#8217;s schedule will be Clearfield vs. Tripp Park at noon and Exton vs. Union City at 3 p.m.The entire tournament is being played at Plains Little League.<style>
