Earth Day celebrated at LCCC

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A city man is facing charges after allegedly assaulting a woman during a domestic dispute on Stanley Street Sunday afternoon.</p><p>According to a police report:</p><p>At approximately 2:56 p.m., officers went to the residence after a domestic dispute was reported. Upon arrival, officers heard a woman crying and a man yelling from outside the residence and forced entry as they feared for her safety.</p><p>Officers discovered Dennis Mason, 45, standing over the woman, ready to strike her. The woman was crying and had fresh red marks on her neck area with small scratches and blood. Officers observed several fresh bruises on the woman, who also stated her jaw hurt from being punched. The woman alleged Mason had wrapped a shirt around her neck and strangled her.</p><p>Mason was arrested on aggravated assault charges and remanded to the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.</p><style>
