<p>Paige Marabell was 3 for 3 with three runs scored, while Ella McNess had a hit and two runs scored in Tunkhannock&#8217;s 8-3 win over St. Mary&#8217;s for the 8-9-10 softball state championship on Sunday.</p><p>The win marks the first state championship for Tunkhannock since 1977.</p><p>Kaya Hannon and Sydney Huff each had a hit and a run scored in the win. Hannon picked up the win after going six innings, striking out eight, while giving up four hits and walking zero batters.</p><p>&#8220;This group of kids are a special group of kids,&#8221; said Tunkhannock manager Tim Hannon. &#8220;The hard work pays off and they deserve to win a state championship. Couldn&#8217;t have had a better team than what they are.</p><p>&#8220;Local support from the Tunkhannock community has been outstanding and has been greatly appreciated by the coaches and the team.&#8221;</p><style>
