Police arrest man who allegedly punched woman at Mayflower Crossing Apartments

All seventh grade students and new transfer students, grades eight to twelve, are invited to an orientation program beginning 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, in the auditorium of the Hanover Area Junior/Senior High School. Mrs. Mullery, junior high school counselor, will host the program.Students can meet with faculty and club officers to discuss courses of study, club membership opportunities and sports programs. An administrator will be present to discuss procedures for the first day of school as well as rules and regulations of the junior/senior high school. Following the program in the auditorium students will attend a brief tour of the facilities. The morning will conclude with a picnic lunch in the cafeteria.Parents are welcomed, but not required to attend. The event should conclude at noon. Parents should utilize the rear parking lot near the cafeteria when transporting students to and from this event. Direct any question to the counseling office at 570-831-2305.
