PITTSBURGH (AP) — A more than 20-year battle between law enforcement and a Pittsburgh-area man who's repeatedly been convicted of selling drug-related paraphernalia is coming to an end. That'll happen when 72-year-old Akhil Misrha is sentenced Thursday for his latest conviction: selling powder that dilutes heroin and tiny "stamp" bags used to package it. He's also agreed to be deported to his native India after he serves whatever sentence is imposed by a federal judge in Pittsburgh. Mishra's family has run several businesses since the 90s that have been targeted or shut down by authorities for selling drug paraphernalia. A 2000 investigation grew into a prosecution of drug-themed comedian Tommy Chong, who was convicted of selling glass marijuana bongs through stores like Mishra's and sentenced to nine months in prison.
