Duryea Borough Council looking to improve traffic visibility on Foote Avenue

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A 13-year-old student&#8217;s cellphone was robbed from him at knife point as he walked home from school on Abbott Street Monday, according to police.</p><p>The victim reported that he was approached at about 2:30 p.m. and that he complied with the suspect&#8217;s request, after which the suspect left with the cellphone.</p><p>The phone was valued at about $700 according to police.</p><p>The suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot, 7-inches tall with thick build, high cut afro-style hair cut that is short on the sides and wearing dark-colored jeans, a dark-colored collared shirt and a silver belt buckle with the letters &#8220;DC&#8221; on it.</p><p>The knife was strapped to the suspect&#8217;s right arm, according to the report.</p><p>Anyone with information is asked to contact the Wilkes-Barre Police Department at 570-208-4200 or call 911.</p><style>
