Letter to the Editor: A Hillary Clinton presidency bodes better for children’s futures

<p>Congratulations to the Wilkes-Barre Downtown Residents Association for sponsoring its Historic Homes Tour on Sept. 24.</p><p>The walking tour included six private homes, the Mary Stegmaier Mansion, First Presbyterian Church, the Hillard House Inn and the new Hampton Park condominium units &#8211; all in downtown Wilkes-Barre.</p><p>Touring the historic homes provided a glimpse of life in Wilkes-Barre a century ago, and the modern condo units lent a peek into future city life.</p><p>Thank you to the homeowners who graciously opened their homes, as well as to Joseph Matteo and staff of the Mary Stegmaier Mansion, and the First Presbyterian Church.</p><p>It was wonderful to be part of 280 attendees touring the downtown sites. Congratulations again to the Residents Association committee and volunteers in their endeavor to display downtown Wilkes-Barre in a positive event.</p><p><strong>Nancy J.
