Hematologist/oncologist joins Henry Cancer Center at Geisinger Wyoming Valley

<p>Michael Evans, M.D., has been named medical director of Lehigh Valley Physician Group (LVPG)-Hazleton.</p><p>Evans received his medical degree and master of public health from St. George&#8217;s University School of Medicine, completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and his hematology/oncology fellowship at the University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center.</p><p>As the medical director of LVPG-Hazleton, Evans will work collaboratively with LVPG. In his leadership role, Evans will support the organization&#8217;s goals to provide care within both LVPG-Hazleton and Lehigh Valley Hospital-Hazleton.</p><style>
