Sailor promoted to commander aboard missile destroyer

<p>Seaman Timothy Madara, a 2014 Columbia Montour Vocational Technical School graduate and Nescopeck native, is serving in the U.S. Navy as part of an integrated crew of sailors and civilian mariners working aboard the expeditionary submarine tender, USS Emory S. Land.</p><p>Seaman Madara serves Guam as part of a forward deployed naval force in the Pacific and is responsible for sheet metal fabrication used for repairing submarines.</p><style>
