<p>The King&#8217;s College mathematics department sponsored a competition involving more than 110 students from nine local high schools and faculty representatives from each school. The first place individual winners received a $1,500 scholarship to King&#8217;s and the second place winner received $1,000. A &#8220;top finisher&#8221; from each school received a $500 scholarship.
