<p><strong>Tell legislators to support the Animal Bill of Rights</strong></p><p>It has become far too common for millions of animals to be subjected to daily torment and death.</p><p>Animals have no legal rights. Without strong legal protection, animals are doomed to remain helpless victims of abuse and exploitation. The Animal Legal Defense Fund is circulating a petition, the first-ever Animal Bill of Rights, a powerful weapon in the fight against animal abuse.</p><p>A growing chorus of American citizens are demanding strong legal protections for animals. </p><p>The ALDF has squared off against some of the nation&#8217;s worst animal abusers and won. They have repeatedly sued the USDA for allowing cruel mistreatment of laboratory research animals, in flagrant violations of the Animal Welfare Act. They stopped the state of North Carolina&#8217;s horrific method of destroying animals. Now, puppies, dogs and cats are free from being gassed. The manager of a factory farm in California is no longer allowed to work with animals ever again, thanks to an ALDF suit. </p><p>The Animal Legal Defense Fund has come to be known as the law firm of the animal rights movement. The sad fact is, we can&#8217;t wish away an animal&#8217;s pain and suffering. But we can take action to save animals&#8217; lives and put animal abusers behind bars.</p><p>Please think about the animals who are trapped in the endless nightmare of cruelty and exploitation. We can create a groundswell of support for the establishment of legal rights for animals. Petition your elected officials demanding their support of the first-ever Animal Bill of Rights.
